Senior journalist Saurabh Dwivedi has resigned from his position as the Editorial Head of Lallantop and has also stepped away from the India Today Group, bringing an end to his nearly 12-year association with the media conglomerate. His departure marks a significant moment in India’s Hindi digital journalism space.

Dwivedi, who was one of the founding forces behind Lallantop, played a pivotal role in transforming the platform into one of the country’s most influential Hindi digital news brands. Under his leadership, Lallantop carved a distinct identity with long-form interviews, ground-level reporting, and youth-focused political and social content, gaining massive popularity across YouTube and social media platforms.

He announced his decision through social media, describing the move as the conclusion of an important chapter in his professional life. Dwivedi indicated that he plans to take a short break before beginning a new professional journey, though he has not yet revealed details about his next role or venture.

The India Today Group acknowledged Dwivedi’s contribution, crediting him for building Lallantop from a digital experiment into a mainstream Hindi news destination with a loyal audience base. Following his exit, Kuldeep Mishra, a senior editorial member of the Lallantop team, has been entrusted with leading editorial operations, while Rajat Sain will oversee production.

As the industry watches closely, Dwivedi’s next move is expected to draw significant attention, given his influence and credibility among Hindi news audiences.
