Infosys Announces Up to ₹21 LPA Entry-Level Salary, Sets New Record in Indian IT Hiring

India’s leading IT services company Infosys has created a buzz across the technology sector by announcing entry-level salary packages of up to ₹21 lakh per annum for fresh graduates. This move positions Infosys as one of the highest-paying IT recruiters for freshers in India, especially within the services industry.

The revised compensation structure is part of Infosys’ hiring strategy for specialised technology roles, particularly those linked to artificial intelligence, digital transformation, and advanced engineering services. According to reports, the ₹21 LPA package is offered to candidates selected for the Specialist Programmer (L3 – trainee) role, which requires strong technical expertise and high performance in the recruitment process.

Apart from the top package, Infosys will also offer ₹16 LPA and ₹11 LPA for other specialist programmer levels, while Digital Specialist Engineer (trainee) roles will receive packages of around ₹7 LPA. These salaries are significantly higher than traditional entry-level IT pay and reflect the growing demand for niche digital skills.

However, it is important to note that not all freshers will receive ₹21 LPA. The highest salary applies only to select roles and candidates with strong technical backgrounds. Regular entry-level roles will continue with standard industry pay scales.

Infosys says the initiative aligns with its AI-first strategy and long-term focus on building a highly skilled workforce to meet evolving global client demands. The announcement has been widely welcomed and is expected to intensify competition among IT companies for top campus talent.
