Raghav Chadha Invites viral Blinkit delivery boy at his residence

A viral video shared by a Blinkit delivery partner has reignited the debate around wages and working conditions in India's gig economy. In the video, the delivery rider claimed he earned only ₹763 after completing 28 deliveries over nearly 15 hours, triggering widespread concern and discussion on social media.

Responding to the issue, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha invited the delivery worker to his residence for lunch. Chadha said the meeting was aimed at understanding the real challenges faced by delivery partners and highlighting the need for better pay structures, reasonable working hours, and social security benefits for gig workers.

Sharing details of the interaction, Chadha emphasized that millions of delivery partners form the backbone of app-based services but often work under financial pressure and uncertainty. He added that their voices must be heard at the policy level to ensure dignity and fair treatment.

The incident has once again brought attention to the growing concerns surrounding India's gig economy, with many users and labour groups calling for stronger regulations and accountability from platform-based companies.
